Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Digikadai (operated by NAN Infotech) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Digikadai platform — whether you are a business owner creating a store, or a customer placing an order on a Digikadai-powered storefront. If you are a customer of a specific store, that store owner may also collect and process information directly; this policy covers the platform only.

1. What we collect

Business owner information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, password, and optional full name. We also collect the store name, subdomain, contact details, logo, banner, and other branding you upload.

Product information. You upload product names, descriptions, prices, stock levels, images, and optional videos. This data is displayed on your storefront and managed through your dashboard.

Customer order information. When a customer places an order on a Digikadai store, we collect the customer's name, phone number, email (if provided), shipping address, product ordered, quantity, total amount, payment method, and any order notes. We also generate a tracking link and order number for order management.

Payment gateway information. Digikadai does not process or store customer payments. Business owners connect their own payment gateway (UPI, Razorpay, Stripe, Cashfree, etc.) or share their own payment link. We only store the gateway provider name and UPI ID or payment link that the business owner chooses to display.

Usage and log data. We collect standard technical information needed to run the platform, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and access logs. This helps us keep the service secure, debug issues, and understand usage patterns.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the Digikadai platform, including:

  • Creating and hosting your storefront, dashboard, and order management tools.
  • Processing and tracking customer orders, including Cash on Delivery and online payment methods.
  • Sending order notifications, tracking updates, and WhatsApp messages through the business owner's connected number.
  • Providing customer support and responding to your requests.
  • Preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the platform.
  • Analyzing usage to improve features, reliability, and performance.

3. How we share information

With business owners. If you are a customer, your order information is shared with the store owner you are buying from. Each store owner is responsible for their own data practices and may have their own privacy policy or terms.

With service providers. We use Lovable Cloud for hosting, database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions. These providers process data only as needed to operate the platform and are bound by appropriate data protection obligations.

WhatsApp notifications. Order and tracking messages are sent through standard WhatsApp links (wa.me) or the business owner's own WhatsApp number. We do not operate a separate WhatsApp Business API for messaging.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Lovable Cloud infrastructure, which provides encryption in transit and at rest for stored data. We protect accounts with password-based authentication and enforce Row-Level Security (RLS) policies so that business owners can only access their own store, product, and order data. We also use role-based access controls for platform administration.

No security system is perfect. We encourage you to use a strong password, enable any available account protections, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for the devices and networks you use to access Digikadai.

5. Cookies and tracking

Digikadai uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate the platform. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies. We may use basic analytics to understand how the platform is used, but we do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.

6. Data retention

Order and customer records are retained for up to one year after the order is created to support fulfilment, tracking, tax records, and dispute resolution. If you close your account, we keep your data for six months after the account becomes inactive, unless you ask us to delete it earlier or we are required to keep it longer by law. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, update, correct, or delete your personal information. Business owners can update store and account details from their dashboard. If you are a customer and want to exercise these rights, please contact the store owner directly. For platform-level requests, you can email us at the address below.

You can delete your account and store data at any time from your dashboard settings. Deleting your account may not remove order records that the store owner or Digikadai is legally required to retain.

8. Children's privacy

Digikadai is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time as the platform evolves. Material changes will be notified through the dashboard or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
